Initiated into Asian cuisine by her father and grandmother, Madame Ly moved to Paris where she opened her first Chinese restaurant with her husband Alain Ly in 1988 in the 8th district of Paris.

It is the best kept secret in Paris. Wine lovers and insiders regularly meet at Chez Ly to enjoy a great vintage, lovingly collected and preserved by Alain Ly. Great Bordeaux and Burgundy wines, rare vintages from the great Champagne Houses and precious bottles from the greatest French vineyards... Mr. Ly's wine list is dizzy. There are a few nuggets, which cannot be found in shops, such as this Richebourg 2001 from Domaine de la Romanée Conti, this Margaux Château Palmer 1970 or this Batard-Montrachet 2012 from Domaine Leflaive.
